Solid Surface Applications
Most people can think of all kinds of different applications for solid surface materials – but in the end – they all generally fall into one of three categories; vertical applications, horizontal applications and specialty applications. The following page offers more details and examples of the more common uses of solid surface materials.
| Vertical - a strong growth market, particularly in high-design projects, vertical applications include backsplashes, tub & shower wall surrounds, wainscoting, signs, etc. Both ¼" and ½" thicknesses can be used. |

Horizontal - the most common use, horizontal applications include kitchen countertops with seamed sinks, vanity tops with seamed lavs, bar tops, tabletops and work surfaces of all kinds. These surfaces are built using ½" thick material. Thinner materials (example: 1/4”) are never recommended for horizontal surfaces. |
